i think people who have sex with family memebers is gross. No matter how far back you go, so long as you know theyre family. Think about it, theres billions of people out there in the world, and they just sit around and do whatevers closest to them? Its discusting and dangerous.

It may not be its nice, but it is normal. Generally though, when someone says they hate a person, they actually mean they hate that person's actions. Its understandable.
Yes your perfectly normal for thinking this. Family is family, and the rest, have all the sex you want. Having sex with someone who you've become so close to, share genetics, it's absolutely wrong. The children born from these have problems, physical and emotional, plus it's such a hil billy thing?
Growing up in a family is great! You share your life, and memories with them, but when you get older, you are free. To roam the world and find new people who can accept you.

No, it's not normal, or at least it shouldn't be.
First of all, the taboo of incest is a religious creation born out of a lack of understanding about genetics. As one user already pointed out, we are all cousins. In fact, any two people from different parts of the world have less genetic diversity than almost any two zebra muscles you pull from the water together. So one could argue that ALL sex is incest.
Next, the idea that it causes birth defects is just crap. Anyone with a genetic defect has a good chance of passing it to their offspring. If you have two siblings that each have the same genetic defect they do double the chance of passing it to their offspring, but then again, since we are all closely related, anyone else could just as easily have that same defect and the odds aren't significantly different for non-relatives to pass on such things. Of course you could decrease your risk of passing on such things by choosing someone of a different "race" to procreate with, but then again, even the different races don't have enough variation in their genetics to even justify calling them different races. There are a few specific genetic diseases which can be troublesome such as tay-sachs and sickle cell anemia, but those are due to geographical isolation, not incest.
And this is just about having children. The act of incest itself doesn't have to involve children. It can just be sex. Sex with a cousin, sibling, child or parent really shouldn't be a problem as long as they are both consenting adults.
If u check out the beginning of time u will notice that sons made love to their mothers and fathers with their daughters. We all started from an incestual relationship.
I don't agree with incest either but there is too many flaws in your logic for me to agree. First you argue people dating someone who is close to them is disgusting yet people do this if they are dating family or not. If you see someone everyday at work, everyday at school or just your naibhor down the street you are more likely to create a bond with them.
This is in fact how MOST people find dates and make friends. So saying "Well you live in the US and you should find your perfect mate in china even if that Chinese person is perfect for you how reasonable or likely is it for that to happen"?
So I am sorry but you are being horribly unrealistic and a lot of times people cant afford or their is too many problems in dating a person in another state or across the globe like you believe should be the case if they are the perfect partner or not. Secondly going up to a random person and saying "You are my soul mate lets get married" is probably going to creep out more people.
You have to start a conversation or some means of communicating with this person before you expect to have any type of relationship. Even at bars "Hey want a drink. Maybe we can hook up" but going to a random person and saying "I think you are my ideal mate so marry me" is not going to work in every case. I also think a lot of people would become incredibly creeped out by this type of thing so its probably not the wisest idea.

On the rare occasion someone will fall in love with, say, a cousin. Not because it's a cousin, but just someone who happens to be a cousin. It can happen! A very inconvenient true love to have.
I agree, purposely looking for family members to be *involved* with is not good. But what if you just happened to love someone who happened to be related to you...gahhhhhh. Just a thought.

Grossed out, hating ABUSE, these I can understand, but hate is a strong word, and this is coming from someoen who definitely hates some people and groups of people. Is it nasty many times? Yes, does it deserve hate? Probably not, but it depends on the circumstances. I know ppl from the middle east who tell me in their countries a marriage between cousins is ideal. You can look it up too, it's true. I think it's kinda weird but whatever it's nor anywhere near as bad as immediate family relations which are definitely revolting to me personally.

It is normal to be repulsed by incest. It is part of our human instincts to not be sexually attracted to the people who are a part of our family, especially immediate family. There have been studies done that prove this.

I agree with knowledgebytes and I know first hand that incest does not always lead to birh defects.When 15 I had sex with my 31 yar old mother.We had a daughter together.She was prefectly healthy.My mother decided it was best to tell her I was her brother not her father.She grew up fine thinking we were only brother and sister.When she was 16 our mother got cancer an was dying she told our daughter the truth. At first she didn`t belive it but she eventually excepted it.

Is it normal to hate these people? not necessarily. Hate is a strong reaction, but in truth, is usually a byproduct of other emotions that are underlying it (and are usually in larger quantities). You may be dealing with feelings of anger, or disgust or guilt and these may be the reasons why you feel hate for these people. Deal with these feelings and you may find that while you don't condone the actions of incestuous folks, you no longer feel "discust" or hatered towards them.
