Before the hangover came out i was the only one in my school that knew the song "shots" by LMFAO and after the hnagover came out i would here kids rapping it down the hall and everywhere else. Now this is happening with KiD CuDi is there anyway to stop it or just let everyone know i knew it first?
everytime i ask a question like this, people bash me. you're supposed to be happy when a band/song you like gets popular, even if it's a song you've liked for a couple years and has value to you that's being played by some fourteen year old mainstream snot.
this annoys the fuck out of me, but we have to accept it. btw, 'shots' is a wonderful drinking song. (: used to looove that shit a year or two back, but i didn't even know it was in that movie.
well its good that you are not a sheep like the rest of the kids at your school but trying to rub in peoples faces that you knew the songs is pretty try hard. why does it matter so much to you that people follow trends. its pretty normal. dont sweat it, just go about your day like nothing has changed.
Your being too self conscious, who cares if that's how they found a kind of music. So what if the music turned mainstream, does it make it sound any worse to you?
yeah, it's annoying when people take no interest in something untill it's popularized. There's really nothing you can do about it though so don't stress it. Maybe you have a talent for spotting or making trends??!! That would be a cool career!! :)
I don't think it matters in the slightest that people either know or don't know that you got there first. You have nothing to prove.
If I were you, I'd just be pleased that you're ahead of the game. Other people don't need to know it.
