Is it normal to hate people feeling sympathy for obese people?

Like every time I hear a story about superobese people, everyone around me feels so sorry for them. This really fucking annoys me. I only feel sorry for them if they're obese because of a certain disease, but most of the time they just ate themselves into that crappy situation.

And they're being offended and shit, and they're like 'I didn't choose to be like this' blablabla, well actually you did, you chose to eat so much... so it's your own damn fault if you can't walk because you're so damn fat!

And I'm not heartless and I really feel sorry for people who can't walk because they had some kind of accident or something, but obese people just fucked up their own life, like drug addicts, it's their own damn fault.

I just want to know if there's anyone who feels the same?

I don't really feel sorry for them. But sometimes it's not entirely their fault. It's usually a combination of genetics (which you can't avoid) and lifestyle habits.

  • The drunk makes the conscious decision to drink every day.

The drug addict makes the conscious decision to abuse every day.

The obese person makes the decision to eat enough to physically cripple themselves every day.

If they want to live like this then go ahead, hell maybe it will make life more enjoyable, after all no matter what we are all gonna be dead someday.

But dont complain about the consequences from the choices YOU made. Simple as that.

Eat as much as you want you raging fat ass, but sympathy isnt something you will find in food.

It's their fault they eat too much, even if they have problems, everyone has problems they shouldn't just eat everything they see.

I'm tired of feeling sorry for anyone that is above the level of mental retardation claiming to have little to no control over their behavior and habits.

If you're happy with your life and yourself, it's one thing. But if you're unhappy and you are an adult with free will, then your life is ultimately your responsibility. So take it or give it up to someone else.

Some folks have a legit medical condition but fuck, I've seen folks with hypothyroidism complain about gaining weight but refuse to take the medication because they can't eat for an hour before and after taking it and they don't want to adjust their eating schedules because it's too inconvenient :(

No matter what you're problem is, if you don't want to change your habits, don't expect the results to be any different. Just admit "I don't want to change, I get more enjoyment from eating/drinking/smoking/sitting around doing nothing/whining and crying/blaming others than I think I ever would otherwise. You'd be surprised how much ACTUAL POWER you have over your life when you come to terms with the things that you do.

  • It really does depend. Somepeople eat because of depression and nervousness.

Although, I still don't feel sorry for them.

People that are obese for no reason for their constant eating shouldn't get felt sorry for.

Well, the amount you gain weight is partly to do with your metabolism which is do with genetics. It sucks but some people do incredibly little exercise and eat like fucking pigs, yet don't get fat.

Weather as others eat far less and do some exercise but still get fat. :/

I don't feel sorry though, it's annoying but everyone should be able to observe and learn from their bodies trends. Then those with a slow metabolism can learn to eat less.
