Is it normal to hate nyc?

I hate New York City. It's such a gross place in my opinion. I know everyone has their own opinions (some people are country folk and some are city slickers) but it seems like most of my friends love NYC.

A few reasons I hate NYC...
1. It's disgusting - every block has a different offensive smell ranging from sewage to car fumes blowing in your face.
2. Everything looks filthy from the streets to even upscale stores that are clean and tidy in any other city.
3. Rude people.
4. Noisy, crowded streets.
5. Expensive.
6. Polluted air that blackens lungs.

is it normal normal to hate New York City?

    I don't like cities either, especially at night. They make me feel like De Niro in Taxi Driver, all lonely and depressed.

    (they call me atlanta because im a skydiver and, you know, Atlanta Falcons, atlanta. get it? anyway)

    and i love my loud, smelly, polluted, crazy, hollywood city. and its really not smelly lol

    idk about new york. never been there

    I'm English and I have to say I loved New York it felt a lot safer than London you had more foot patrol police also, fancy a swap

    Never been there. Dont ever want to go there. I'm 40 miles away from another famous large city. I dont like it there either. If I have to go I make someone else drive or I take public transit. But yeah, the smells are awful.

    Yeah I think it's normal. I'm developing a kind of extreme hate towards all big cities and planning to move to the countryside soon, so I know what you're talking about.
