Is it normal to hate my job so much i cry @ work

I hate my job so much I cry @ work. I get so mad there my only defense mechanism is to shed tears. I don't want to do this in front of my co-workers as I feel like a baby but I would rather cry than to throw things or do some other acts of violence...what do u think???

It's not right that you hate your job so much you cry. It's extremely rare to find someone that loves their job, most of us hate it at some point or another, but to actually cry during work is terrible. I suggest looking for another job, something that interests you. However hard it is or however long it takes. It's a small price to pay for happiness. Good luck.

I would guickly get out of there, it will start taking a toll on your health. No job is worth it.

You've got to quit, even if you can't find another job. Better to be unemployed than unhappy.

Don't let them make you mad. While you're searching for a new position, try your best to ignore them. If you can, keep busy and don't get involved in office politics. If it helps, sing to yourself when they start irritating you coz you'll find that your inner voice is louder than theirs. You could count backwards from 100, or think of people's names for each letter of the alphabet, or imagine them naked... whatever works for you.

Don't show these people your weakness or they will play on it. You are allowing them to control your life, don't hand over your power to them.
    Good luck!

  • Instead of crying or throwing stuff when you feel frustrated... Why not play Solitaire?

I used to have a job that made me miserable and cry all the time and I felt stuck. I literally quit one day and I haven't been happier since. I found a job a week later.
Im not saying just quit but at least look for another job. You shouldn't have to feel this way and a horrible job can make your life hell. Look for a way out.
btw when I quit I told a really horrible manager to "shove the job up your fat ass" and the look on his face was priceless.

You need to either quit or grow some thicker skin

Can you maybe cry before or after work? Just try to hold it together at work. Honestly people do see crying in public pretty babyish. It reads off as "this worker is emotional and unproductive"

I can relate. I hated my last job so much that I cried at work quite regularly. I offer you my deepest sympathies because I know how terrible that is. Do whatever you can do to find a better working situation for yourself.

Xanax is pretty cheap and affordable. If it's that serious and you can't get another drop, go see your doctor.

    What do you do?

  • A job that makes you that upset is not worth it. I hope you have other options because you should find a different career.
