Is it normal to hate my family?

I truly hate my family. I am the prodigy of the family but, my family treats me horribly. I have a passion for music you know playing instruments but they don't support me by not purchasing instruments. Also, they strictly limit my time with my friends. I only hang with them about 2-3 times a month. This lack of time outdoors also restricts me from hanging with the girl i love. Also no one in my family appreciates my success and no one truly bonds with me in my family. I also get treated worse than my brother who is repeating his third senior year in high school. I get less privileges than him such as time with friends,computer time etc. With all of this i will never experience my passion,love,youth,and friendship to the fullest as long as i stay with my family. So is it normal to hate my family under these conditions?

    Don't worry about your family. You probably don't have to live with them much longer, anyway. They can just kiss your ass when you come out on top.

    A lot of people are unhappy about their family. Oh well, just try to make the best out of it until you live on your own. Try to focus on the good things they do for you.
