Is it normal to hate my dogs

I'm a cat person, I grew up with cats my whole life, didn't get a dog till I was older and he was basically like a cat. Once I moved away with my husband who already had a 7 year old dog , we got into our home and he decided he wanted a puppy. I didn't want one cuz I'm not patient nor do I want to deal with a puppy, but of course my husband got his way and we ended up with a 3 week old Shepard mix. who's now 11 months old and 75 pounds. I already didn't get a chance to get used to living with dogs, but now I'm stuck with two and I seriously hate them. I hate when they are near me, when they look at me, and if they even touch me I get annoyed. I take them outside and feed them and give them water but that's it. My husband hates that I don't like them but idc. it's to damn stressful and I hate being home

    I can relate. Dogs can be so needy sloppy and so much more work than cats. And cats are just as loving as dogs.

      Yes. I have one dog and 4 cats. I think the dog is equal to having at least 3 cats. I would never have 4 dogs.

    Not normal to hate them, but normal to resent them if you didn't want the second one.

    My then husband did something similar once: I was a cat person and he hated them and we agreed to have no pets at all. He brought a dog home without discussing it, so I got myself a cat.

    In your case, I'd be getting a couple of beautiful opiniated orientals - Siamese or Burmese - they'll sort out the dogs and probably your husband as well.

    By the way, if they're his dogs why are you taking care of them? Stuffed if I would

    Your feelings towards this are to be expected, but didn't you two have a talk about pets before getting married? I guess if he wants kids and you don't, he'll "get his way" and you'll hate them too? Will you be happy when the dogs die and the kids move out? Then again he might just get new dogs...

    Dogs are the best, you are insane. LOL
    But still your husband should have asked you before. He should definitely be the one taking care of them!!

    Don't get more cats just as revenge, pets are family.

    Lock them outside with plenty water and shelter and food. boyfriend walks them every day hey presto happy dogs that leave you alone.

    3 weeks old??!?!?! That's way too young to leave the mother unless the mama's not there or something.

    A dog roasting over an open fire looks much like a pig. Invite the neighbors over for a 'pig roast' and have a party! BYOB, of course.
