Is it normal to hate listen to people speak russian?

I take the express bus to the city twice a week, and 7 times out of 10, somebody gets on the bus and they're speaking Russian into a cell phone. Not particularly loud, but it's just more apparent because it's not English. I can't stand the sound of it. I have to turn up my music to drown it out because it seriously annoys me. I have had 3 other people I know who take the bus tell me that they hate listening to it too. Is it normal?

    Well I guess you hate me then... My mother is Russian and my father is German... I speak in Russian and German often more so then English... Ever stop to think that maybe people hate you too??? But then again I drive my own car so I don't have to worry about idiots like you.

    I think your like or dislike of the sound of a language depends on your liking of the specific country. For examplei like French and British English accents. Im neutral for Russian.

    Haha I WISH i could speak Russian...but unfortunately I can't : ( I think Russians have the best accents! It really is quite cool, Russian guys, Get at me! Cuz I'm already going to love you cuz your Russian ; )

    I work at a resturaunt and there is a group of Chinese people that come in; tip extremely well and are polite, yet they speak Chinese very loudly and for some reason it irritates the hell out of me. I have no problem with Chinese people, just can't stand the sound of the language. So yes, I would say that is normal.

    I don't know Russian, and generally I dislike to hear a language I cannot understand, I don't mind German too much tho.
