Is it normal to hate lebanese people ?

Probebly they want to blend in so they want to act like the country they are in most imgrent try to do that ... So you said you were from where exactly..?

French people can be stuck up.

A lot of people say that about the French too. It's all just stereotypes and misunderstandings about different cultures. It's a natural feeling to feel frustrated with people who do not share the same cultural background.

Try to root out the source of your frustration, without blame & stereotype. I think you'll find that you do not like rude/conceited people in general, not just in Lebanese people. Also, you may not know enough about Lebanese culture to notice and appreciate the positive aspects, so you're really only seeing the bad.

It also helps to research the history or recent past of an unfamiliar culture to see what has shaped it as a society and how it has affected the people. Your new-found knowledge, if you acquire it with a compassionate heart, will set you free of your current feelings of disgust and frustration.

All of you stated that they are good ,well the ones i met and they are ALOT aren't as good !

Aww don't say that! Lebanese people are one of the most generous people I've met. Here in Australia, there are more than a few and I love how family oriented and religious they are ^_^ and Arabic music kicks ass!

I am Lebanese.. And I hate being Lebanese for exactly what you have cited.. Now posting this comment in 2022, I can confidently say that the Lebanese ripped what they sowed with their current situation..

Male Lebs are disgusting to say the least! the women can be attractive, but some are so ugly & fat they should be made to stay indoors or cover up,

its true that we learn your language and its true that there is arrogant people in lebanon but its also true that everywhere there's arrogant people and also good people .

I am Lebanese, have lived in Lebanon most of my life (although I did travel well) and I feel this way sometimes. I would not say regularly or often, but it happens again and again for some reason, to the point where I really want to get away from this country and people, and guess what, I'm not the only one feeling this way!

I don't know if it's "normal", in fact, I'd like to know, but I can understand all the things that you say, about being rude, without anything to be rude about.

I hate generalizations, but sometimes I can't just deny what I feel and think.

The funny thing is ... if you copy paste your statement and replace Lebanese with French and show it to most Americans, they would agree with you and think its normal. I have french friends in the US and I think they are great and don't agree with the stereotype.
Hate only brings on more hate .. live and let live. Also, maybe it just seems your encountered bad ones, every nationality has them.

Don't worry, it's completely normal. I live in the middle east and there's A LOT here...never met a nice one yet and i've been here for 15 years.

Yes it is normal. I am Lebanese and I hate my own people, we're everything you said and then some :P it's why we can't fix our own country or get anything working

WOW!!!! My best friend since kindergarden is Lebenese and doesnt act like that AT ALL. She was valedictorian when she graduated and is the most down to earth person I know.

You guys who defended Lebanon , are kinda lucky to have encountered "good ones" or you are just saying that , but in my experience they weren't good .

One of my best friends is from Lebanon and I think ure being biased towards Lebanese that their all this way which they aren't

I quite like Lebanese people. I've only known a few so maybe it's a small sample size, but they were really nice.

I don't know the ones you've met but the ones I know are kind hearted. My mom's been sick in the hospital for a few weeks now and a Lebanese family that my parents know have been cooking us super and sending it over for the past couple days.
