Is it normal to hate it when republicans talk about the constitution?

That was absolutely the dumbest rant I've ever heard. I'm curious if you actually took even 1 second to think before saying that or if you really are just that ignorant.

You want someone to oppress you, go to another country, (Or hire a dominatrix) but you wouldent even have the freedom to say anything bad about your country.

Republicans didn't exist when the Constitution was written. So are you an Anarchist or an Obama supporter? Personally, I think the Republicans suck and the Democrats blow. This country is run by big business and has been for many decades. The $$$ is the bottom line, so goes life.

So, if consumers of government benefits have the same amount of say in who gets elected as the people who FUND those benefits, how does that help raise the standard of living?

Don't you think that the people who will be elected will increasingly be the ones who realize that all they have to do to have a 30 year career in Washington and then retire with a platinum pension and benefit package is to just keep awarding the underachievers, the public employees and the union members more and more benefits from the public treasury in exchange for their votes?

And to boot, they try to scare you into thinking that life is getting more and more complicated and that you are much better off letting government bureaucrats and regulators make your choices for you. You will be told what you have to do, just like when you were a little kid. Government programs will protect you from bullies and and any kind of unfairness and fix your 'boo boos' when you fall down and feed you when you get hungry - just like your sweet Mommy used to do.

It's SUCH a lovely racket; 'Just relax and let the soothing warmth and loving arms of your caring mommy government enfold you.'

This is coming to be known as 'infantilization'.
We call the folks who favor this, "the Democratic Party."

OK, look, I lied a little here. Eventually the taxpayers get pissed off, productivity plummets, tax revenues steadily shrink, GDP growth shrivels, other countries get angry when more and more money gets printed to prop up the scheme. Then, the horrifying inflation monsters wake up and stomp around taking savage ripping bites out of everyone and all their savings.

But, as Scarlett O'Hara famously said in the classic, "Gone With The Wind", "Oh, fiddle-de-dee, I'll worry about that tomorrow."
And that, children, is the story of how the can got kicked down the road.
