Is it normal to hate it when people call me white?
Calling us "white" is so insensitive and dehumanizing. The correct term is European American. Please be more respectful.

this is a joke on people who get offended when you call them black right? If not, you're stupid.
"I don't see white or red, only shades of pink." (Ten points if someone knows what movie that's from!)
I'm proud to be white so I certainly wouldn't get offended.
We have a rich history, and have done more for the world than any other race.
You're being too sensitive. We're called white because we're light skinned. Makes sense, right?
If you ask me you are being a little too sensitive. I don't call black people "african-american" because it is so PC that it looks like you are going out of your way to not tread on anyone. I call black people black people. Thus, i don't mind being called white.
And being called "black" when one's skin is clearly brown isn't offensive? Or "African-American"?
Easy way to cure racism: we now only refer to each other by the colour we are inside, not the colour outside.
Everybody in the world is pink. Hello fellow pinkies!
Dude. You are white. Deal with it. If you don't. You are gonna have a bad time.
I hate it when I'm called "black." I am NOT black. I am half white, half black. Clearly I should be called grey.
this is either a black person basically reminding white americans that american isn't their original land and that they've got the nerve to label others with their actual origin (african american) without calling themselves euro american OR a white person making a sly point about how some black people get about their race label.
or maybe their asian?
can't believe more people didn't see through this..
yeah i hate it too. i mean how can they not see my latvian, scotish and english heritage in me? i cant believe how insensitive and ignorant people are!! well i never!!
I'm not actually white. I'm an albino Middle Eastern, because I'm Jewish. No, seriously.
European-American is an oxymoron. Moron! and so is Afican-American. That is why I prefer black :)
I know how you feel. I'm biracial and I used to hate when people said I was "black". They don't do it anymore, but I'll be glad to correct them! I hate when people say that they're "black". You're not "black", you're of African decent. I.e African american. People aren't colours. People are part of ethnic groups, but when it boils down to it. We are all humans! Why can't people see that?!
im black but light skinned so a lot of people (black or white) think im mixed & it annoys me..can't blame them though lol.
So should all white people referred to as european american since they are of european decent. Im not african american i was born here so im just an american id rather be called black.
I think it's normal, but I honestly don't see how it's "insensitive and dehumanising".
I mean, I am a South African/Macedonian (I know.. weird combination..) and my friends and other people just call me black, but I don't find it to be anything bad. That's probably because I honestly don't care about racism against myself.. If people call me black because that's what I am, "meh". If they call me black because they're trying to be racist, I am, so "meh". Hahaha :P
I guess it's just personal preference and your upbringing.. :)
