Is it normal to hate it when people are not remorseful enough

Is it normal to hate some people sometimes especially when they do not seem really sorry or sad by the news of somebody's death they dont know of. Some people find the death just an ordinary thing. of course people all die in the end but some people act like the death happens to only others. I hope i am clear enough.

Death IS just an ordinary thing. Sure it sucks for the families and friends of the deceased, but why let it bother you so much and why hate people whos level of remorse isn't sufficient enough for you. Not everyone gives a crap about the death of a total stranger. That doesn't mean that they think death only happens to others. Perhaps they are saving their grief for when their own loved ones die. Then again some people feel no remorse for anyone or anything. Let's kill 'em!!!

Omfg, I hate people like you. You're like my parents, you expect everyone to react to death in the same way you do. It's like unless I'm balling my eyes out screaming at the heavens, I'm being cold hearted and callous. Dude, people don't all react in the same way, so stop expecting people to feel the same things you do.

Also, remorseful is the wrong word to use here. It's implys a deep regret of a past action, as if they were the person that killed the dead person.

Not everyone reacts the same way to a person dying.
If it's someone I care about, like my parents, brother, sister, or pets, then I care.
If it's someone I really don't give a fuck about, there's absolutely no reason for me to care. Why should I?

Remorse is being upset for something YOU have done, if you didn't cause the persons death then you can't show remorse because it doesn't apply.

What you're dribbling on about is empathy for others, it's very different.

It's good that you can comprehend things maturely while others look past it.
However, try to give less of a shit about what others think, and concentrate on your own life more.

I think personally. That it has more to do with the personal attachment you have to the corpse.

My Mum works in the hospital. For the first few years she'd tell me all about the regular patients and i'd get to hear funny, sad and sweet sories about them. Many times she told me of a certain patients death, even though I didn't know them the news always made me sad. 6 years later and I'm still hearing funny, sad and sweet stories about new patients but when I hear of them dying I think it's sad and I think of their families but when you hear of so many people dying over so many years something changes. I don't mean to sound heartless but as you said, it happens to everyone, it's a part of life. I still get a little emotional sometimes at certain news stories but I think i've just been desensitised a little like i'm sure many have, don't get me wrong compassion is an amazing thing but if everyone got emotional over the death of someone they never knew then in my opinion there would be too much hurt in the world
