Is it normal to hate hummers?
Every time I'm out on the road and I see a Hummer go by, I just can't help feeling that I hate it and that it is one of the worst vehicles in existence. Is this normal?

If someone's not interested in quality, design or aesthetics they're ok.
The old hummers (the army models) were cool, because they were built for war.
The new hummers (civilian versions) are pretty lame to me.
I feel the same fucking way about civillian hummers.
What does a Hummer, which is aesthetically deplorable and quite literally a waste of resources, offer that an SUV doesn't?
Interior space? Bah, when was the last time you saw a Hummer that was literally jam-packed full of people?
Off-roading? SUVs have heavy duty suspension and can go the same distance on less gas.
Amphibious? Most modern civillian Hummers, unfortunately are not.
Safety? If you're that fucking scared of being killed then you need to go to Arizona, build yourself a concrete house and just sit in there for the rest of your days.
Most of the features you can find in a hummer could be found in an SUV or a truck for a fraction of the price. Everything about them screams "HORRIBLY UNECESSARY", they are the pinnacle of automotive excess.
I'm not going to sit here and gripe about how Hummers should be illegal, I have no problem with them being legal, but everything about them is so unnecessary. A good SUV can do 95% of what a Hummer can in a less wasteful manner :(
Most people drive a hummer because they think it gives them "status". That's the last car I'd drive if I was trying to say "hey look at me." I prefer a jeep over a Hummer any day. My ex sister in law and her new "gansta" bf drive one and they look like idiots, IMHO. :)
Urgh... and that's what FRUSTRATES ME!
Honestly, I'd prefer a good Wrangler or Explorer over a Hummer any day. For the Wrangler, less weight, less size, more terrain that can be covered. It's rugged and a Wrangler with a shitty paint job isn't as painful for the owner to look at than a brand new, expensive Hummer with a shitty paint job. And an Explorer, well, heavy duty suspension and passenger room.
SO UNNECESSARY!
I don't know if civilian hummers do this or not, but they can automatically inflate, or deflate, their tires by the press of a button. I think that's pretty cool, but again, that might just be the military editions.
They have terrible performance and dangerous rear visibility. No question, they are a terrible vehicle and I would think less of a friend that bought one.
I think I hate hummer drivers more than the actual hummer itself. I was in the Army, I drove a real hummer and that was cool. But seeing a snotty soccer mom driving a civi hummer makes me want to bump her silly ass off the road. :D
as already said by a few the military ones are pretty awesome but the civvy street editions or versions are complete crap :L
