Is it normal to hate homophobics?

Well, in terms of what's the NORM, no, it's not normal to hate homophobics because the vast majority of people in middle America (the bulk of the country) are kinda homophobic.

The other issue I have with hating homophobics is just that it makes no sense. If you're gay, or pro-gay, you have to accept that homosexuality IS a subculture, therefore, it's not the norm. The opposite side of that is that homophobia is kind of the norm. So to hate the norm, is not norm. Also, if you're gay, you know that people dislike you JUST BECAUSE OF your personal OPINION on what's right and wrong. So WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE other people simply because they disagree with you?

I'm not homophobic in any way. I used to be very pro-gay. Even today, I literally work in the gayest section of my metro area and my office has more gays than non-gays. I could give two shits who you have sex with. But I think it's incorrect and I also think it's being pushed on people by the media. I definitely believe in gender roles and think we have them for a reason. But if you want to disagree with me, it's totally cool. Whatevs, it's not like it matters really.

One day in school there was this gay guy who had dyed his hair pink and the guys in another table were looking over at him, sniggering, and actually talking about which of them wanted to walk over and knock him down.
I mean... why the hate? They wanted to be violent because he looked gay, what?!
I turned to look at them and the smiles were wiped off their faces.
I suppose it looked like I wanted to tear out their spleens.

Being gay is not abnormal. And most gay people don't think of themselves as being abnormal, nor do they want to be straight. Just a little clarification for you.

Alright simply being straight doesn't mean a gay person is not going to be interested in you. However yes a lot of people act like gays are going to hit on every person of the same gender.

Which isn't always true. Its the same as straight people. We have those who hit on everyone and those who only like certain people but being straight or gay does not mean you are attracted to EVERYONE of that particular gender automatically.

I really don't understand the point of being afraid of gay people. I mean they are exactly the same but sleep with another gender. They face all the same issues that straight couples do with break ups, cheating, heart ache and so on.

Unless they are attempting to make unwanted advances but really if you think about it many straight people have attempted to make unwanted advances. Everyone finds it creepy when they don't like you and you want to keep hitting on them. So you face the same issues in both situations. Even if its considered unnatural I don't see the problem as long as its between two consenting adults.

you don't have to discuss that here just coz u agree with them. Why don't u do something for them? their rights? and don't just yapp your thoughts here in a public site. makes no sense to me and stop askin ppl if this is normal.

i guess. if u are a supporter of jews u hate anti-semites. if u are a vegetarian u hate hunters. so this makes sense. if u support people to be able to express their srxuality.

That kinda ignorance PISSES me off bad (eapecialy being bi) but mainly cuz GLBT (gay lesbian bi transgender) are no differnt. Are you gonna hate people cuz they like a certain kinda of ice cream and you don't. No so back the fuck off. And whoever asked this question ur comment kinda made me mad too. The people that are gay are by choice. Yes I know it's attraction. But when I started being attracted to guys I was scared and pushed it down and I was ok but then it came back up and I embraced it. And u just said. GLBT isn't normal. Completley normal to be homosexual, hate homophobics and even normal to be homophobic (only because u don't understand) so if ur homosexual rock on! If u hate homophobics kinda hypocritical, but thank you, and if ur homophobic GET TO KNOW A GAY!

People are stupid and set in their ways. I believe that if someone is rejected, it's very sad, but they are better off without them in their lives anyway because those rejectors will just spend their time shaming that person and trying to change them. Although it's sad to not have acceptance from the people you love..... Life is better if they surround themselves with people who love and accept them the way they are! The truth is, as long as the church says it's wrong, the followers will hate. Sad as it is, the church isn't going anywhere and they should accept that neither are gay people!! Hell, one has no more control over being gay than they do over being born with blue eyes!! It sucks that in this day and age there is still so much ignorance!!!!

Unfortunately it is the current "norm" to be homophobic. It's slowly changing though and hopefully one day soon people will accept every person for who they are no matter who they love.
