Is it normal to hate hatsune miku/be sick of the sight of her?

No offence intended if you like her, BTW. In fact, feel free to back up your defense.

I went to MCM in London last weekend and saw at least 5, if not 6, people dressed as Hatsune Miku to varying degrees. Her face was on lots of merchandise and I just found it really annoying that she is everywhere.

I've listened to a few of her songs. I certainly wouldn't call myself a fan and wouldn't really choose to listen to her stuff, but I wouldn't actively avoid it.
What gets me most is her personality - she seems really precious and weak in the most annoying way.

I am starting to think that girls find Miku Hatsune the only cosplay costume in the universe

      I agree!

I'm going to sound like a cosplay Nazi here, but not all of them even had their hair done in her colour.

There were lots of Monkey D Luffy-s as well, but not as many as Hatsune.

I was Seras Victoria for a Halloween party last year. It might have looked really unflattering on me and I know I'm no expert, but I had a blast.

*shrug* Maybe I should live and let live...?

It's normal. Even though I'm a crazy Miku's fan, but I do agree that she appears to much (everywhere in Vocaloid). I think the others need some space too.

I haven't the faintest idea what you are talking about. But I will google.

Edit: are you not sick of the sound of her/it.

A bit, but I saw her face far more than I heard her voice

I quite like the Vocaloid stuff but I only dip in every now and again so it's always a novelty for me.

Fair enough. I'd never listened to it much, but seeing all these girls dressed the same made me feel like there wasn't much originaity.

There were a few characters who more than one person went as, but not as many as Hatsune.

I do rather like most of the vocaloids for PonPonPon and 1/6 isn't a bad song.

Yeah, I agree. Originality is definitely a problem. When things are rendered from similar templates/models and voices come from the same piece of software, people's innate laziness produces the same thing over and over, or just small variations on it.

True creativity takes hard work. When you find it, though, it's great. I don't notice it because I don't watch so much of it. If I did, I'd feel exactly the same as you.
