Is it normal to hate going places with my whole family?

I hate going to places with my family. Everytime we go to a restaurant, park, store and etc it's always the same. My younger brother argues with neither my younger or older sister. My father complains and have pity parties. My mother snaps at every little thing. My younger sister who is adopting also have to have her behavior issues and my mother constantly yell at her. I'm so embarrass to be with all of them. I only can handle being with two at a time.

So is it normal to hate going places with my whole family?

    Yes, families can suck. Nobody's perfect, everyone has their shit, even you. Hopefully your family isn't judging you as harshly as you have them. If they do, then I feel sorry for you because that means you've had a hard life, so far.

    I'm guessing you still live at home with them. It's hard living with people who you find it difficult to have respect for, especially when you see huge flaws in them.

    Things will get better when you live on your own one day. By then, you might end up looking forward to the times you can spend with all of them together. Sure, you'll still see those same flaws in them, but they are not as annoying to you as the were because you have a choice not to see them on a daily basis any more.

    Just as easily, you could be like many other people who dread those family get-togethers for the rest of everyone's lives. Or worse, you might end up like those of us who don't talk our families at all; there is no 'going places with my family' for us.

    I really hope you don't have the type of family who makes each others' lives miserable even when you aren't all living together any more. Sometimes, even that can be better than having no family at all.

    I don't like going on trips with family either. I can't stand the majority of my mother's Southern Assholes.

      Southern Assholes... I'm a proud Southern woman but must say the South certainly has it's share of walking, talking giant rectums most of whom tend to be fundamentalists. Just my humble opinion though.
