Is it normal to hate female voices on sat nav / radio / news?

Any time I turn on the radio and the DJ is female I immediately change channel. I am female but just can't stand females trying to be funny or jolly on the radio, and female Sat Nav drives me insane.

I know that men don't take in what a female newsreader says as much as a male newsreader because they're ogling at what she's got on, but is it normal that I just hate their voices and it's nothing to do with appearance?

    Yes... When I was a kid, I only listened to female sung music, but now I barely ever.

    omfg...I think like that too ( am a girl btw ) I often also get annoyed by female vocalists, (but not in all genres, mostly like pop-country etc.) no idea why...

    Actually it's not about normality. It doesn't have to be normal to be right. Or I should say that there's no right or wrong in your dislike. Your dislike is very personal. I would say that your dislike is not common among the mass. The only thing you may want to do is to learn how to accept female voices. It's really not necessary for you to like their voices, but you may try to find out the possible good traits of female DJs or hosts. If you really can't find any, then you should tolerate them and get used to them.
