Is it normal to hate facebook friends that update everything!!!

Why do some people feel the need to write on their Facebook wall every time they do anything. It's fucking ridiculous. Why do we need to know that they got to work 5 minutes late, then what they ate for breakfast, followed by what someone Beside them is wearing, and then all the phone calls they made and so on. And by the time they get off work it's about how their kids did at school that day (everyday) and what they are cooking for dinner. REALLY!!! Who gives a shit. Post shit that's cook that happens or unique. I've blocked a lot of over users who think we care a about every second of their useless life. Does anyone else have friends that abuse this too much. And god help the ones who need a fucking crop for farmville every 10 fucking minutes. Stop asking, I don't have a stupid fucking Internet farm.

Thanks for the reply to my opinion. Even though I probably never would have read it due to the fact that you didn't "reply" to it directly. Thanks for your interest in my personal life. I hope to hear from you soon.

my theory is that the more you post, the more insecure you are.

Depends on the post. I believe the more confident you are, the more willing you are to share and feel confident in your thoughts being interesting enough to be publicly laid out. You know you have people who care enough to like seeing you write things. It different when you talk about you actual insecurities non-stop.

So, I'm guessing you're one of those internet obsessed self proclaimed nerds who has about 500 people on their friend list that they don't even know personally. That's probably why you can block them so easily. Here's a tip, don't add random people.

You make it seem like everyone should post clever little ditty's about things they noticed in their day, or maybe a quicky about something funny that happened to them. Well, life isn't about what you want. Maybe you don't enjoy what they post, but somewhere in this world there is someone who enjoys knowing a majority of what a person does daily.

So, I'm not saying that you shouldn't hate them, but what I am saying is that you should have a better reason. Imagine if I just decided to block you because you didn't post enough. Imagine if I just decided to block you because you played a game I didn't like. Imagine if I blocked you simply because I didn't like your name. Those may seem like stupid reasons to you, and your scenario seems like the god of all scenarios, but trust me, they're just as stupid as yours.

Who the hell has 500 friends anyway? I don't delete them because sometimes they post some funny stuff. However the chain posts and the 9/11 crappy irritate me so i just ignore them.

I can safely say a good majority of Facebook users have 500+ friends.

Not really, I just delete the sms alerts or ignore them. Now if it happens to be interesting like Spider-Man, a kitten or somebody falling on their face, or cookies then I read it. It really is quite a trivial thing to let bother you my friend.

Personally, I find those who use Facebook to whine, complain, and wollow in their petty, selfish problems the worst.

  • Yeah Im happy that someone understands me! Not only is it the frequent updates but some friends on FB always have statuses about their love life. One of my friends updates her relationship status every two days - its fucking ridiculous! Then one person always says how shes in love with one person and the next day its like 'Arggh I hate my life. You cheated on me..you broke my heart but I'm strong.' < What the hell...why would you tell FB you got cheated on...??

I got people on FB that love to tell all their business and tbh its annoying and its taking up my news feed. Dx<

Here is a solution to the apps you do not like and is what I do. Click on the link to the app's homepage. On the left side of the screen navigate to "block this application," click it. Problem solved. As for people posting pointless and meaningless shit, that is what Facebook was created for. Get over it. :)

My son is really impressed that my friends and I use fb in the way it should be used, whereas he and his friends post all sorts of rubbish.

However, all the adults in my family are friends with the nieces and nephews and ring all the parents if there is anything alarming! We love fb coz we now know everything they're up to :o)

  • I deleted my Facebook for exactly that reason. When people post every little thing its a cry for attention, like "look at me...look at me! COME ON, give me attention!!!" They figure the more they put out there, the better their odds are at getting something back. I don't see the appeal, and it bugs me enough, so I just got rid of mine. Problem solved.

LOL lovin the farmville comments. They annoy me too. One of my coworkers takes pictures of what she made for dinner. Then there's the girl that posts pictures of herself in the same place of her apartment showing what she wore each day. It makes for a good laugh =)

You know what, I was going to agree with the OP and have a bit of a moan about this too. But that girl who posts pictures of herself in the same place in her apartment just to show what she's wearing? That made my day! If I knew someone like that, I'd go on Facebook daily. Will you tell her that she's got a random English fan and ask whether I can befriend her? :)

Oh dappled, today was a good one. The caption underneath today's gem was "You can either be the office bore or the office whore.... Obviously I'm the bore ;) jk jk" with her wearing some kind of dress. Yesterday's was "I clean up nice" with some ugly skirt/blouse ensemble. I'll ask her.

Oh my God! They're captioned? I am lost for words. You don't know what you've done, lc. Every single time I see you now, I'm going to ask you what the picture and caption was today.

Does she really do it every single day? I am literally hugging myself with glee. I'd hug you too, if you were here. Wow. You and your friends should do a sweepstake to predict what she's going to wear tomorrow. That'd add even more interest. I'm guessing red summer dress for tomorrow and something cheesy like "Can't wear it in fall because it might fall down".

Yes, I am your religion teacher. And I love Tim Minchin because he's funny. Now sit down and listen to your scriptures!

  • So write to them; Shut the fuck up about your useless information about your life that we don't give a shit esti. If that doesn't work, delete them or get rid of Facebook. I'm pretty sure one of my solutions will work out.
