Is it normal to hate dry hands and to also hate the feeling of lotion?

I hate the feeling of my hands being dry. I feel like I have alligator skin. But I also hate the feeling of lotion because no matter how much I use, my hands feel all slimy and gross. Plus, I get afraid of, like, dirt or something getting stuck to my hands. Ugh...

    I understand! But lotion makes your skin so damn soft! But it is also a VERY sticky substance (especially when sweating!)

    I put on a really moisturizing lotion and usually wash it off afterwards.

    I thought I was the only one!!!
    I stopped using lotion a while ago, I hated the feeling. I've been learning to deal with my dry hands, but occasionally I'll put on african coco butter with lavender. It's not really oily or slimy, but kinda "sticky".
