Is it normal to hate being sick (with a cold or flu)?

So I absolutely DESPISE being sick. I do whatever I can to ensure I don't get any cold or flu. When I'm sick I get really depressed, I've legitimately felt like dying when sick on numerous occasions. I do have clinical depression, which I take medication for, but when I'm sick I get so depressed and irritated they might as well be placebos. Even if it's just the sniffles, or a cough, I can't stand it. Itchy, watery eyes are the WORST for me. I absolutely cannot stand it. I know no one likes being sick, but am I the only one who hates it this bad? I've been like this for as long as I can remember.

Dude, I bet you no one likes to get sick. Especially if its the flu. I rarely get sick. I get sick about once a year but sometimes I go a year without being sick. And that counts for colds too. But when I do get sick. MAN, I get sick!

Yes it is horrible. I've even heard of something called post-viral depression? Which may explain why we feel so bad.

Sometimes though I've felt extra good after a bout of illness as it's given my immune system a massive boost and I get a feel good factor - though never when I'm actually suffering.

It's normal. Nobody likes getting sick. It isn't very fun. And it sucks, too.
