I can't stand anime and manga and I get super annoyed with people who like it. When I meet someone and I find out they like anime, I lose some liking for them. I don't know why I hate it so much, but I feel bad.
I really don't have a problem when people dislike the stuff I happen to find great, so initially I just clicked this for a quick look and move on.
What actually made me comment on this post is the part when you automatically reject a person because of a certain hobby. That's such a crappy attitude.
Anime fans are not a homogenic group. Some people look and behave like an otaku (anime fanboy/girl) stereotype, but many don't. I don't wanna offend Sailor Moon/Naruto/Inuyasha fans, but not anime is like that. There's a real mature stuff (NO, not porn), that might be worth checking out because they're good films, that just happened to in animated format.
Sure, it might not be for you, fair enough -but hating on people who have different opinions will make you look that Kaiser guy -an idiot.

No, Not all.
In fact many of them are quite the opposite, especially the sexual ones. Maybe you're just looking for anime in the more pervy places.
...but maybe it has something to do with the fact that Japanese people in general are short and small.
It's a Japanese cultural thing; the women are conditioned to be cute. There's even a trend where women in Japan can get surgery to have snaggleteeth put in as it "makes a woman look cute, almost childlike; like when a kid’s teeth aren’t fully grown in yet".
Who knows, I guess that's what those Japanese men like and since they're the ones who write the manga...
I don't think that appearance is only limited to sexual animes. I've seen a couple of animes where it isn't sexual but the characters, including the guys, all look like their children. Honestly, I think that's just the way they're drawn. Hell there are some animes, like Air Gear, where the effect is reversed and you have a bunch of twelve yr olds who could easily pass for 25.
Also a lot of Asian women look like children. Aside from that japan seems to be really into fetishes for some strange reason. To be honest I think japan may be one of the most sickly perverted places on the planet looking at all the stuff they put out. They also seem to like fish sex and have a huge thing for panties. In japan they can buy used underwear from a machine like it is no big deal. It is completely normal to them. However given everything else japan has to offer the good out weighs the bad.
Yes, the stereotypical otaku are annoying. (Seriously, they act all weeaboo-ish, then get sad because they don't understand why people don't like them?)
But to lose respect for someone because they like anime is stupid.
I'm an otaku. And I don't act like that. I don't flaunt my love for anime like the stereotypical weeaboos and otaku. I like InuYasha, Naruto, School Rumble, and hell, Ouran High School Host Club amuses me every once in a while. I have a lot of traits that can cause someone to dislike me. But for someone to dislike me because I watch anime? That's stupid.
Hating anime is like hating movies or tv shows; just like there are films for everyone, there are anime for everyone. Whether it's something serious like Death Note, action-packed like DBZ, humorous like Princess Jellyfish, or romantic like RomeoxJuliet; there's something for everyone.
Not normal. I try not to reject cartoons based off of what they came from. If I did I'd be a shitty animator.
I don't know why you don't like it either. Is it the weeaboo culture? Is it the form of story telling?

It's normal to hate a lot of things. It's also superficial to dislike someone based on their own opinion of a common interest. As long as you're okay with that, I don't see a problem.
Believe it or not, you most likely watched anime as a child. Many children's cartoons like Adventure of the Little Koala, Saber Rider and the Star Sherrifs, Robotech, Voltron, and Moomin are actually animes.
I can see why you would hate anime. I am not a big anime fan myself, I like the stuff, but when I watch some of it, the stupidity of it just kind of irks me.
I admit, there are some animes out there in which the story-line is terribly written, stereotypical bullshit, the production is cheap and crappy and the artwork looks like total bull-pucky. Some of those animes get REALLY famous too, maybe there are just thousands of people out there that see something in some of this smut that I don't.
Some of the fans of anime annoy the living hell out of me too. They don't wash themselves, they walk around in shit looking half-cosplay half-bullshit they dug out of a hot-topic bargain bin wardrobes with this mentality of "I'm unique because I watch Samyoshooowhatthefuckever and not Jersey Shore desu-ka???????", they practically have their heads up their asses with the fantasy of Japan being some fucking wonderland of happiness (based off of the way anime makes it look, because fiction can make anything look fucking awesome), they talk incessantly about how they wish to move to Japan and leave our fat American asses here to revel in our own ignorance and good lord they weave their Japanese lingo into every sentence that they can.
Unless you're talking about THOSE anime fans, then your negativity towards anime-fans is pointless and unfounded. It's just another form of media and art as far as I am concerned.
Hating anything is normal. Anime isn't for everybody and I've heard some good arguments that I agree with as to why it sucks. Personally, I'm cautious around other anime fans. Some people who like anime can be extremely annoying, some can be cool though.
The only exception for me is the Miyazaki films. The animation and effects are just so spectacular, and it's more mature than other anime. The series like Dragonball Z, Naruto, One Piece, Deathnote, etc., and pretty much everything else like that, I don't like. I don't hate it, and I admit, I've tried to appreciate that stuff, but it just doesn't grab me.
I like Pokemon, but really I don't think that should even count. I just like the games. The show, not so much. And the show was based on the games anyway.
The only reason why the Miyazaki films are an exception for you is because Disney distributed it. If you want to see spectacular anime films look up Satoshi Kon
It's also an exception for me when it comes to Disney as well believe it or not. I don't like Disney films either, but I'll look up this Satoshi Kon.
I love the Castlevania games, which looks kinda similar to anime, but that also shouldn't count. As far as I know there isn't a show based on that.
I hate anime and the people that watch it..or jerk off to it. It's creepy when people get all horn dogged up over a cartoon character. Every person I know who are anime freaks like cats, drawing anime, purple and black, halloween or anything that has to do with costumes. Comic con, Xbox and at least one shitty TV sitcom. When anime freaks talk about it, they act like you know what they're talking about.

I've watched almost 300 different anime in the last 2 years and have enjoyed every one.
As with all other forms of entertainment, there are good ones, bad ones, and generic (i.e. boring) ones.
You should research everything before you watch it and avoid the ones that don't appeal to your taste.

just dont say that is shit to them it maked me cry once me and my friend was waching an anime in school he just came over and said that "what is that shit you waching"
Why do major anime fans usually have serious hygiene issues? I don't know why, but they do!!!
Only about 1% of people I know who like anime are cool and 1% of anime itself is ok and not all weird.
That being said, I love Dragonball and Yu Yu Hakusho. Violence is cool, huhuhuhuh
The only anime I ever got into was "Sailor Moon". I never got that stuff.
