Is it normal to hate and love your ex who is your best friend?

There was a guy who at first liked me and i was fond of him but over a summer we got to know each other and i started to really like him. After about 8 months we starting dating but the pressure of my parents and school work started to overload on me. So, we broke up so i can focused on my school work and the thing is we still liked each other, but he likes other girls and they are much curvier and thicker than I so i would get insecure instantly without even trying. After about a 5 months later i would try to make myself look curvy and he would encourage it but he would also say im fine just the way i am. However, he would compare me to other girls without even trying. He is a really sweet guy but after a year of our break up im kind off fed up with his "interest" in girls. Yet we are still best friends even after all of....THAT.

I dunno bout dat whole mess, gurl, cause I ain't never kept an ex as a friend. Wounds hurt enough without pouring salt on them.

  • You broke up with him and are now annoyed that he's interested in other girls instead of moping around obsessed with you?

It's called moving on. You ended it, he's moved on from it. It's called being mature.

I don't understand the problem here. You broke up, boo hoo, drama, drama, drama. Move on. You shouldn't be trying to make yourself more of anything if you already broke up and he won't stop comparing you to others.
