Is it normal to hate all these new words people are using?
I absolutely hate all these new words that people are using such as "beast", "legit" and "fag". It irritates me to the bitter end, and I have no idea why.

Yeah, I'm the person who posted this. It's mostly that fact that people use it in the wrong context. I mean, legit and beast are both old words, I hate people using these words to mean something that they were never meant to mean. And like bubblicious775 said, it so useless for someone to say "legit" to mean cool, since it just means "real".
Every word in the language we use was once new. Nearly two thousand of these new words were invented by Shakespeare. Much as I would love language to be preserved in amber, it changes. And Shakespeare, who I love, was as responsible for this as anyone.
What bothers me more is the words that fall out of circulation. Because of the mass media (especially television), the language and idiom of my grandparents has largely been lost for good.
Im surprised this is only labeled 69% normal.... IT IS A MILLION PERCENT NORMAL! I hate these as well. They are deroitory, slang, hidden messages, and unwanted attacks to the body, spirit, and emotions. Do not let anyone who tells you these knock you down.
They irritate me, too. A lot of what's happening to the English language irritates me nowadays, to be honest. I probably shouldn't be so hard on the words, as a lot of perfectly decent words were once silly slang at the time, but I still prefer the respect people had for the language back in the 19th century.
Shit. I just hoed myself on that last one. I meant to type YOU must be a chic
Legit mean real.
I think it's funny when people say things like "that party was legit"
What? That's party was real? Well yeah it was real, but that's a bit obvious.
They need to find the right meaning of these words an use them at the right time, not for EVERYTHING!
I just heard a new one. Actually they're old but people has found a new use 4 it. When seeing something stupid on TV or when something doesn't go a person's way they say "REALLY?" That is irritating as he'll.
I think they're funny, but I wish people still used 'totally', 'bitchin' and 'heavy'.
Absolutely normal! ;) I find the word legit very annoying too and I don't use or speak that word... I don't like hearing or seeing other people use that word! I also hate using the word boss too in a wrong way... I mean, boss means an enemy on a game like Bowser or a higher ranked person on a company, and I hate it when other people use boss as an alternative word for being a b*tch / mean, etc (just like in AnTM Cycle 23)... I also hate the word "bae" too! It sounds gross for me... I prefer using the word crush over bae... I hate the person who invented that word! Tsk!
A word I hate is when people say "that is sick". WTF? Why does sick mean good now? It's stupid. 2000s slang sucks - oops! I mean, 200s slang is ignorant.
I love the word fag though! And I'm quite literally a faggot. What does that tell you? Although, the word 'bro' makes me want to strangle people
ur such a beast! this post is legit! all these faggy n00bs and their bitchen words...i totes dig yo ;)
