I can't say that I *hate* abstract art, it's just that most of it does not appeal to me as an artistic application and genre. There are very few pieces that arouse any senses in me than feeling bored at the confusing mess.
A lot of abstract art is centered around the artists feelings. Getting these feelings out, without so much as an ideal of symmetry is purely theuraputic. Like laying a huge canvass on the floor and pouring paint on it then rolling in it. Remember what it felt like to dip your entire hand in paint and smudge it on a piece of paper?
However, I do prefer realism, as you pointed out. But very few artists can achieve a photographic quality to their art. I will never be at that level, and I know it.
Perhaps you need to work on letting your unconscious out of it's closet a little more.
Well, sometimes it sees that abstract pictures are stupid cause thay have no sense, but if you put your imaginataion to work you may find a precious and beautiful thing for you.O.K.I was a little stupid to say that.Yeah you ARE RIGHT.Abstarct pictures are stupid and with no sense.
I don't typically like a lot of "modern art" either... I think it's normal.
Everyone has their own opinion. To be honest I agree with you and think that a five year old could create some of the 'abstract drawings' that are well known as masterpeices...
