Is it normal to hallucinate when orgasming?

I'm just wondering how many other people have hallucinated from sex. If you were tripping balls on acid at the time, I wouldn't count that as the same thing unless it regularly happens (I'd also applaud your focus enough to getting to the point of sex, I'd be too busy checking the threadcount on the sheets).

When I had my first orgasm, with my eyes shut, I was in the clouds circling over this enormous castle. That happened when I was 15. The next time wasn't until I was 23, and I had been smoking a bit, I saw the planets align whilst I was floating in outter space. This wasn't like something I was choosing to imagine and it was sharp and clear to look at, as if watching it on imax. A lot of the time I'll see weird crazy patterns and if I focus on them stuff starts to appear.

If I'm honest this mostly happens after I've been smoking or doing balloons but also happens occasionally outside of that.

    I personally haven't, but in one of my top 40 books, the author describes seeing colors and cityscapes during orgasm in a way that sounds so deeply personal that I believe it's not entirely fictional. So I'm pretty sure at least one other person has shared that experience.
