Is it normal to hallucinate randomly?

I do not do hallucinogenic drugs, I don't take any medications that cause me to see things, but for some reason, I have been hallucinating and hearing things recently. It usually happens around 2:15Pm and I start feeling light-headed and I hear my name being called in a sort of chanting manner. I also start to see sparks out of the corners of my eyes and everything starts to have vivid colors. Then I see green and purple swirls and people's faces start to morph into random shapes, and they're voices get either really deep, or really high-pitched. It is a scray experience because it literally feels like I'm being watched by everything and everyday objects are staring at me like they're going to attack me. But wait, there's more. The room starts to stretch, and I feel the room go back and forth. And the next thing you know, it's gone. Is this normal?

If you're not being dramatic it could be painless migraines which affect your vision. Just talk to your doc.

If it's like you said, it sounds just like acid hallucinations. Have you taken acid in the past, maybe it's a sort of flashback to a bad trip from the past. It's also possible that it's migraines like someone else said, but it could be that you are having hallucinations from a mental health issue

definitely see a doctor about this. I agree with the other poster that this sounds like a really bad acid trip. The feelings of being watched, imaging things/people attacking you, the auditory hallucinations, swirls of color in your vision, objects morphing, etc. remind me a little bit of an acid trip that I had recently. have you ever tripped before? it could be some sort of flashback effect.

no, not normal, but what you are discribing sounds like what happens when people take LSD so maybe around your house lsd is filling the air and your inhaling it.

I've had similar things happen to me. Except, I hallucinate with hearing and feeling, not seeing. I will be trying to fall asleep at night (really late like the time you stated), and this will happen to me: I will hear a whole bunch of voices bunched together, but they are not saying actual words, but I know how they are feeling and what they want just by the mood of the voices. I also know what you mean when you feel like all the objects in the room are watching you. It's really weird. I know I am not crazy, because I am sure this would happen more often, and this has only happened maybe three times throughout my entire life.

Is this a serious question? Of course it's not normal. It may be a sign of psychological distress. Depression and mild psychosis can have hallucinogenic effects. Seek a psychologist.
