Is it normal to grow a tooth where your wisdom teeth were extracted?

So, I got my wisdom teeth removed around August and I just noticed in one of the spots that I have part of a tooth coming in. It doesn't hurt, but I feel it there and it's bothering me. Has that happened to anyone?

It's probably just a piece of a wisdom tooth that broke off during the extraction and is working it's way out.

will it completely come out if its just a stray piece or sit there like a normal tooth?

Dental hygienist here. It's time for a follow up. Instead of guessing what it might be, you need to contact the oral surgeon or dentist that extracted your wisdom teeth and explain the situation. If he/she is a decent doctor, he/she will gladly take a look and take a periapical xray at no additional cost.

It could be a residual piece that he/she missed, or a supernumerary tooth(not likely in this situation).

I'm not the OP but if it's a supernumerary tooth wouldn't it wear a cape and tights? Maybe they're growing a parasitic twin?

Also, when I get my teeth cleaned I like to fantasize about my hygienist straddling my face when the chair tilts back. (I just felt the need to share that).

I hope I don't get wisdom teeth. But it would be a good idea for you to visit the dentist.

    It could be another tooth.
