Thank you. It's good to know that some habits can change after a couple of years, and you're in what grade now, 3 or 4?

my roommate had to buy this deal that went in her mouth to prevent teeth damage. I would say, try to use your will to stop. Also bcuz the retainer deal is expensive and extremely annoying to wear. Tell yourself over and over "i will not grind" and consciously try to stop.

I used to bite on my tounge when I slept. After that I had bite marks in it.
Ended up having to wear a mouth guard at night..

Visit your periodontist. My periodontist made a mold of my teeth from which a mouth guard was fashioned. I wear it nightly per his advice. Because of my excessive tooth grinding, all of my teeth are loose! It is hoped that the mouth guard will at least prevent further damage (e.g. keep me from losing all of my teeth).

Thank you for your advice. I didn't know the grinding can loosen your teeth. Much appreciated.

I think I only do it while I'm awake, and I don't suffer from stress, so something else is causing me to ruin my teeth for all time. I appreciate your comment, thank you.

  • Go to the dentist, they have a muscle nuetralizing paste, it's pricy, but you'll thank yourself in the future.

You need something for anxiety. Zoloft makes me clench my teeth at nite.

Thank you. Never suffered from anxiety so must be some other reason. I honestly don't know when it started, but it's been a while.
