Haha, I know what you mean! My husband does that too. We have the cutest cats in the world!! <3
aww so I bet your husbands teeth are pretty much down to the gums haha jk. I grind my teeth cause "o your so cute, errrrr I just wanna hug you and squeeze you and play with you and love you, forever and ever! :D" that is what I say to dogs, cats, rats, and bunnies!!
why would you want to hurt something cute? Why would you want to hurt anything at all? ISSUES!!!
My sister has done this ever since she was little. Babies, cats, dogs...everything that she deems cute, she grinds hers teeth, haha.
PS - i can't associate with wanting to hurt cute things...i hope you don't indulge yourself there.
I'm also glad to find fellow cute-overload teeth grinders! I do it when holding our two lovely pet rats and also when playing with our gorgeous 8 month old baby boy! I really can't explain why I do it but in a weird way it kind of adds to the pleasure of how cute they are!
I've actually been doing it so much since our baby was born that I've chipped my front tooth a tiny bit! I told my dentist I grinded/clenched my teeth when confronted with cute things and she looked at me like I was entirely mad!
Interestingly my mum and uncle both do this too - a genetic component perhaps?!
fullclip, that's exactly what happens to me! As a matter of fact, I just found this page after doing a google search "why do I grit my teeth when I pet my cat?". Sometimes, I don't realize I'm doing it until it actually starts to hurt. Every time I pet my cat, or give her a little his on the head, I grit/grind my teeth like crazy! I have never been able to figure out why I do this, but hell - I'm happy to see that, apparently, it isn't such a singular problem as I thought it was!!!! Thanks, all. xoxo
omg i thought i was nuts or something. i do it whenever i touch something i really really love. like my pet or my ex-girlfriend. she used to always make fun of me for it and tell me to stop lol.
haha my friend gets that exactly, and i think most people get that with other things too. Like, I tend to really hate things that are too soft, and i think it's a normal reaction. Too much of a good thing is too much of a good thing.
If you're pointing towards my Pseudonym, then I shall explain, it is my gaming name.
Now knowing that this is the same person that abuses their dog... why am I not surprised? Either you're not adequately explaining yourself because you're a child who shouldn't have this much freedom on the net and you don't have the words in your meagre vocab, or you're a seriously deranged individual who is practising to become the next Jeffrey Dahmer.
Whatever the reason sweetheart, please, just get some help - you won't find it on the net, I can assure you.
