Isn't it just common courtesy? Why should the whole room have to smell of shit? Why should people suffer? You need to go to the bathroom when you have to fart, that's only common sense. Don't just do it on the couch with others, in your desk at school, in your cubicle at work. Others have needs too. Stop being insensitive.
Is this normal?
Just drop the damn thing in the room! It's damn near impolite not sharing that goodness with the world.

I would like to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy my raunchy scent as much as I do. I am a generous person by nature.
I don't know if anyone here places the same value on a fart-walk like me, but I can expel more than my share of methane in such a walk. Some people are rumoring that I fart-walk whenever I leave my desk.
How can I hide it?
Honestly, I never heard of this before except once back in highschool. I dropped a death bomb in class and the kid next to me got mad and told the teacher and he looked me dead in the eye and said "Why don't you go to the bathroom to do that?" I was like..seriously? Could you imagine how aweful the bathroom would always smell if everybody actually did that? People would be puitting their hands up left right and centre to go to the bathroom, cause humans fart all the damn time. You'd walk into the bathroom and the stalls would be full cause some shy classmate didn't want to fart infront of the other hoards of people in the bathroom(Which, by the way, are all there just to fart.) Meanwhile you shit your pants waiting for a stall and everyone had to smell your asshole all day anyways.
Good for you! I wish more people would be kind enough to take this approach Instead of forcing others to smell their noxious odours. There are many places to relieve oneself: a spacious closet, a empty bedroom, the bathroom, outside, windy days,etc.
I 've gotten the reputation as someone who takes fart walks.Now people automatically assume that I'm farting when I'm walking, so I see people holding their noses or holding their breath when I walk by. Is that fair?? That's what happens when you try to be courteous.
I fart dozens of times a day so I'm not going to the toilet every-time I need to fart. In fact I enjoy some form of schadenfreude when I know people will have to breathe in my fart lol.
you're very polite, i respect that. but a normal person would discretely do it in a corner of the room.
