Is it normal to go temporarily blind after bending backwards?

I'm double-jointed, I can bend backwards about 90 degrees (besides other cool tricks) and when I straighten up again (I do it for several seconds) I go temporarily blind for a moment, after that the blindness "dissolves" and I can see again. This does NOT happen every single time.

Is that supposed to happen?

Don't hesitate to see a doctor! This may have to do with your blood pressure.

It happens to me too, when I don't eat much. Stretches usually trigger it in my case.

You stupid idiots. The reason why this happens is because his/her blood presure raises. This also happens when lot of blood gets in your head.

Happens to me if I wake up too quickly at night when I go to toilet

    You're bending too far.

You might want to ask an optometrist, not a bunch of strangers online.
