Is it normal to go off music you loved??

Hiya,

A couple of years ago I loved heavy metal, went to concerts, was in fanclubs etc. I kept every issue of the rock mag I subscribed to. I wouldn't talk to you if you didn't like the same stuff as me. I had a friend who was that way too, but with more modern metal which wasn't really my cup of tea.

I’ve found I prefer music I grew up with (trad folk/blues) I've passed most of if not all my rock magazines on, although I still subscribe because it's cheaper than buying it, & because I found several of my favourite bands through it.

I still like heavier stuff, but nowhere near as much as I did. Can your interest just go like that?

    tastes change.

and perhaps the fact that you refused to even talk to people who were different played a part in helping you change...

Its totally normal. Give another ten years and you might even start liking other types of music. You are just growing up and preferences tend to change too. How often do you see a metal head grandpa? Not often..

People grow and change - it's part of being human. Enjoy the music :)

I think I saw this post before...

Normal to me though, sometimes we change our tastes.
