Is it normal to go extra slow when someone is riding your bumper?

I really hate when other drivers behind me drive way too close to me. I'm not a slow driver. I always go a few mph over the speed limit. When people ride my bumper it makes me nervous and angry. I slow down because I feel like it's the only way to make my point.
I'm not going to speed up and get a ticket just because someone is trying to push me around. Is that normal?

Oh me too! I hate tailgaters. Also sometimes I will tap my brakes. The look of horror is precious! Sometimes tho they get PO'd and flash their lights and flip me off as they pass me.

I tap the brakes...not enough where they'll hit me but just enough to send the message in blinking red light form. :)

Oh yes, I go ultra slow just to get to them. It's especially good when turning corners - nice and slow and deliberate, hehe.

I drive slow all the way to the stoplight and when it turns green I stall just long enough so i can go just right before it turns red. Ahhh revenge

  • Yeah I do the same thing. It's a great way of saying "Fuck you".

But it's probably not normal. I've caught myself riding someone's bumper and they almost always speed up or keep up at the same speed limit they were going.

Yes it is completely normal BUT it is called being "passive aggressive" so it's not healthy behavior.

I had a car so close to me one time I hit the e-break and he hit me put $ 3,300 bucks in my bank so every time some one is to close hit the e-break because you break lights don't go on great money making but only do it 2 times a yr

I do the same I drive at least 5mph over the speed limit most of the time 10mph over but when someone gets too close ill take my good old time like do under the speed limit. I have had a few cases where Ill tap the brakes and if they dont back off you better watch out cause they will be rear ending me and best part is its always there fault.

I think most people do this. I'll move for most people but some drivers make it really hard to be nice.

Lmao!! I love it! Especially when they over take u and then speed off... Only to then find them stopped at the next set of red lights... hahahah I deliberately go to the lane next to them and laugh! It's price less.

  • My mother is exactly the same, although she usually doesn't go over the speed limit.
