Is it normal to go clubbing alone?

I want to go out tonight but I have nobody to go with. I am a woman and I was wondering if it's normal to go to a club alone? The places that I'm thinking of are relatively safe and close to my house. I am 19 and don't have a fake ID so I won't be drinking at the bar. If I'm dancing and acting confident will anybody notice or care that I'm alone? Or will I look lame because I'm not with my friends?

    You don't have anyone to go with? I'll go with you. Have a Rolodex of fake/lost IDs to choose from. You could be... An old lady named Phyllis from Portland Oregon who is an organ donor lol.. And I could be this angry lookin black dude with gaps in his teeth named Tyson. It'll be fun.
