Is it normal to give personalities to inanimate objects?

Basically the title says it all. I have this weird habit where I will internally name my stuff and treat them like people. I don't let it interfere with my day-to-day routine or anything but I like to treat stuff like my laptop or backpack as a person and I watch what I say because i feel slightly paranoid that they can communicate with each other. I feel weird about telling anyone for fear of being called crazy but, hey, what the heck? Might as well tell you. So...is this normal?

When I was younger I had one of those gummy snakes and i ate it's body but I couldn't bring myself to eat it's head so I kept it in a clear plastic jewelry box for at least a year and a half..

I am the am the same way! Like if I use one hockey puck for one drill I have to use another puck that no one used last drill because I don't want it to feel left out!!!

It honestly sounds a bit like a mild "Psychotic Reaction". Breathe deep - count to five. Maybe you have an active imagination. Probably a bit of both.

Now that you brought it up I looked into it and I may have mild psychosis brought on by a slight Bi-Polar disorder. Of course I could just be making things up too.
