Is it normal to give her a present for her birthday?

It's been three weeks that I haven't heard anything from her. If you (the reader)read my last post this is a follow up. Next month is her birthday and I have bought a present for her before we broke up. My question is should I give it to her or not?. But if I do should I give it to her in a friendly way? I think there's a chance she'll not accept it either.

    Depends on what it is. If it's something practical and non-romantic you can still give it to her, assuming you still like her. It's not a boyfriend's privilege to give birthday presents; You can do that as a friend too.

    I draw really cute and funny comics and once a week I throw it in somebody's post box when I walk to work. I always throw it in the same post box and I don't even know what the person or people look like who live in that house.

    I would tend to say that you should just return the gift if you still have the receipt. I think if you really want to give the gift whether or not it's a good idea to give it would depend on whether or not the breakup was a friendly one. Regardless a breakup signifies the end of a relationship so it's probably not a good idea to give the gift.
