My girl is 9 and is currently having a discharge, and the other day i saw blood on her underwear. I think it is her period, is it normal for her to have a period this early?
I think it's normal. Everyone is different in regards to puberty and periods and I started mine about 10/11 years old so it's nothing to worry about.
Puberty is starting very early nowadays , its a normal between 8-18 (: no need ti be worried!
Well I just turned 12 on June 19,2012 and I got mine in may. I've been searching things so I know what's going on in me and I saw that sometimes you start developing early than others or something weird like that. I wouldn't worry

I got mine when I was 13, my friend got hers at 16, and I guess your daughter got hers at 9. That's pretty early.

Anywhere from 9-12 is pretty normal. If it's a worry then take her to the doctor. It's possible she's having another problem in which case it's important you take her immediately. If the blood is bright red it's either period or something more external, and If the blood is brown, black or dark red it could be internal non period related.
My advice, seek a medical professionals advice.
There's no "right" time for a girl to get her period. Everyone is different, and it may depend on development of her.
