Is it normal to be worried about what you look like down there and whether you're sort of fresh and clean before a guy goes down on you. I wish I was more uninhibited but always feel tense which ruins it (if they know what theyre doing in the first place). I always feel head is more intimitate than sex- is that normal? Some guys are pretty unhygienic anyway- but I wanna be more spontaneous but cant because always depserate to shower first.

    I'm a guy and I like to shower first...poor hygene is a big turn off.

    Hygiene is important. First, try to get comfy with a guy before you go down on him(or he on you). That should release some tension. Showering together is a great way to get to know eachothers body, and try cleaning eachothers body at the same time.

    I think it's normal. I still feel awkward with my fiance when he does it to me as I am paranoid that it isn't perfect down there but I now have a habit of washing that area about a dozen times before I leave the shower...so of course that means I'm always prepared so now it's "less" awkward for me as I know I am incredibly clean and fresh down there at all times lol.

    I think a lot of girls are self-conscious about that. if the guy likes to lick you a lot, then you're fine. if he holds his nose or tries to finish quickly. there is a chance you have some smell there. ask about it in a nice not panicky way. taking shower before sex is a good idea.

    Definitely normal and understandable.

    I've had quite a few girlfriends who've been self-conscious about it, and - although I'm a guy - I feel more relaxed if I know I'm as clean as possible before a girl goes down on me.
