Is it normal to get this sick?

Is it normal for me to get mono and strep throat at the exact same time? Like my doctor brought in about 8 other doctors to check my throat and they were all very confused yet interested. They told me they had never seen anything like it... I also blew up like a balloon gaining about a hundred pounds within the two months that I was sick... Mind you I used to be a hundred and nineteen pounds... I am unable to lose the weight and its killing me plus now I get strep throat about once a year but I still find it odd that I had mono and strep throat at the same time.

To be honest I rarely eat.... I nibble here and there... I have big breakfasts then throughout the day I have small salads some fruit and either meat or chicken but most of my diet consists of veggies in one form or the other

He wanted to refer me to a specialist I have no insurance and I was getting sick of paying 80 dollars twice a week if not more to see all the doctors and a specialist would cost me at least double per visit

Oh dear is this the wonderful US medical system again?

Why is a system that prevents less rich people from getting proper medical treatment allowed to continue? Because the alternative is a commo plot????

Not that the Australian system is perfect but for the richest country in the world (if you still are?) the US amazes me on this issue

The fact that, In total, 31 (this includes the doctor you first saw.) doctors were completely confused about this this means that it's not normal. A further precaution you should take with strep throat is that sometimes the virus can travel upwards to the brain. When that happens, it turns into a condition called, "P.A.N.D.A.S".

Do you eat organic food or GMO crops?

Did your doctor refer you to a specialist? If not, I would suggest seeing one.

Lol I did go to real doctors... Btw I'm feeling much better now as I said that I've been getting steep throat every year now which means this happened a few years ago

Are you with the same sexual partner? Could be some kind of re-infection maybe?

I'd be gargling with salty water daily if I got strep throat that often - prevention beats antibiotics any day in my book

You should ask your doctor to refer you to a specialist. Hope everything works out!

Oh goodness. That definitely isn't normal. I hope they find out whatever is going on with you soon. Feel better.

Obviously it's not normal, otherwise the doctors would not be so confused.
