Very rarely, maybe 4 times in my entire life that I can remember (I'm 25) I get a single, thin, gray hair on my chin. It's about an inch or two long and appears practically overnight. It's very thin. So thin I can pluck it out no problem. Is this normal?

    I can't imagine that you don't notice these hairs until the get an inch or 2 long? THAT'S not normal!

    Yes. I had gray in my beard when I was 25...but they were thick and coarse.
