Is it normal to get side effects after stopping birth control?

I've been on the pill (Ortho tri cyclen lo) for 10 years and I just went off of it. I'm having headaches, moodiness, & depression. Thoughts, suggestions, comments?

    When I stopped mine I did experience depression and weight gain. The depression was probably more do from the weight gain. I would imagine side effects to be normal especially after long term use. It was regulating ur hormones and now ur body is back to doing that naturally so it's probly just short term effects while ur body adjusts! Check with ur doc tho just to make sure

    Hormones are brutal. Your body is just readjusting. Black Cohosh is a useful herb for this.

    It's the lack of estrogen. Nothing to worry about. Your body is just in hormonal confusion.

    Yes these are common side affects, go see your doctor though to see if any solution can be found. :)
