Is it normal to get sad/pissy if nobody texts you?
I don't get mad, but kinda frustrated. Just wondering if anybody feels the same.

I did at first, when I really needed attention from people. Even when I became a bit Buddhist about things and realized I'd be happier without that external need, I still felt I could get fulfillment from outside me. I've always fallen into that trap. Other people. Sex. Drugs. Always needing something.
That's the mistake. I know it sounds massively crappy, but your happiness is within you. And no, I'm not trying to sell you a religious text. Just a viewpoint. And, guess what, it's free. :)
Take the initiative. Most people have that stubborn "you text ME first" mentality. It's something, I would assume, everyone does or has done at some point.
Although, I admit, it is a bit childish and i've fallen prey to this sort of thinking.
Once I get a new number in my phone I bombard that number with text messages, and picture mail, (like when I crap I take a picture and send it to them, well every number I have in the phone gets a daily picture of my bowel productions but I digress) Until the person is forced to file a restraining order against me or change their number entirely.
You see I dont just troll online. I am just an all around asshole in real life.
Eh... not to me at least.
Then again I grew up in a world where text messages and emails didn't exist. so when no one sends me a text on a given day... I don't read anything special into it.
cos sometimes... there really isn't any hidden meaning. some days people just don't feel like chatting. and that's OK.
I don't usually start text conversations, and I'm sometimes guilty of not replying and ending the conversations, but I still feel sad when I don't get a reply or when I see my friends texting constantly and my phone stays silent xD
Ehhhh... its not normal to do this all the time, although I said it was because I'm guilty of doing this. But normally I just send out a mass text with a super corny pun or a silly picture and then that normally starts up a conversation. :D
I'm actually quite the opposite - not getting calls and texts actually is a good day for me.
Sadly.... most of it is work related.
I am sending you this text for no particular reason.
Do you feel less sad/ pissy or frustrated now?
Kind of. When I first got my phone, like in 7th grade, I did feel sad that my phone never rang. Now I don't really care. If you feel bad for friends not texting you then start texting them.
