Is it normal to get red eyes?

So I'm in marching band, which means I'm out in the sun from 12-5.

Yesterday I noticed that one of my eyes was a little red, but it was just a line from I think me squinting.

Is this normal? Will it go away?

    It sounds harmless to me but you might wanna go see a doctor just in case.
