Is it normal to get on well with insects?
Some sort of tree moth just landed on me and burrowed its head in the crevices of my arm skin. I tap him and he looked up, but kept his position. I guess he thinks I'm a tree. I let him stay.
Last week a wasp was coming for me and a dragonfly flew to my rescue like a dolphin and then played with my daughter.
I was then reading an article about the lion hugger dude, which referenced some crazy guy that hung out with a housefly named Fred while he did house chores. Right after I read that the first fly I'd seen in the house this year comes buzzing along.
This is not exclusive to insects; a particular lizard used to hang out on my porch so much, to inhale smoke I presume, that I named him Thomas.
