Is it normal to get offended easily?

When I'm reading text messages or even just talking to people I tend to read deep into stuff so sometimes I get easily offended.

  • said with kindness "to take offence is to give offence" its actually a bit nasty to think others are thinking bad thoughts so its easy to remember those few words

Easily offended means you have a need to feel like more centers around you than it generally does.

If you want to fix this, find out why you have this need and solve it. Until then you'll over examine everything in a reflection of your own self-doubts and desire for attention, positive or negative.

    • I don't feel like the world centers around me, matter a fact I normally don't like being the center of attention.

It's perfect normal to be easily offended if you are a Muslim.

People who are easily offended are the same individuals who bring religion and politics into everyone's life. Keep to yourself when you do and learn how to argue constructively.

I use to, but you have to control yourself. You need to look at things in a different light, like "o well we know each other, so its no big deal."
Don't be afraid to throw one or two back thinking they will be offended, can always correct it if that happens.
Otherwise yeah, you will be manipulated.
