Is it normal to get married after you graduate?

Is it normal to get married after you graduate? I know people who did already. Some of them younger by 1-2 years. I am not talking about graduating from a university either. Is this type of thing common? I thought it was something you did when you were older like late 20s.

Not now adays nope. Some people just marry for fun in this day and age... Like that stupid Bruno mars song "I think I want to marry you."

We're looking for something dumb to do
    Hey baby
I think I wanna marry you

If we wake up and you
    Wanna break up, that's cool
    No, I won't blame you
    It was fun

^^^ The sanctity of marriage just isn't what it used to be

I got married two years after graduating. My sister in law has been married to her hubby since they were 18 and they're both 35 now with 3 beautiful children, she's a homemaker and he's a Professor currently studying for a Doctorate.

The problem with young people getting married isn't so much that they're "young and stupid" as it is that they don't take marriage seriously. Young people more so than more mature adults tend to be pretty selfish (my future, my money, my car, my career etc.) and there's no room for that in a marriage. That's why it's better for most people to wait until they're older and more mature, because this me, me, me, mine, mine, my feelings, I don't wanna talk to you, get outta my house! deal doesn't work in marriage.

Now I see this site is all high school aged kids!

Are you kidding me? Married when you are 18?
Maybe that is why it is normal to get a divorce too!

Get married when you are emotionally mature, fiscally independent and mentally evolved. This is usually 24 years + . two years AFTER college!

    • Well 18 is legal so you can be on this site at 18. I also know people who were getting married straight out of high school. It made me feel like I was falling behind. Since some of them were actually younger by 1-2 years. I thought it was weird but thought "Well they are 18 so I guess it is normal". I am over 18 now though. Though I knew a lot of people who were fucking at 12 too. So maybe I am the weird one.

If you're talking about after highschool or college I say you're too young. Go out and explore because one you're married and if you have kids it makes it much more difficult.

Pretty much everyone I graduated got married and had kids right after or before graduation (not including me). According to my high school, it's normal.
