Is it normal to get mad when people judge on an unplanned pregnancy?

I have been reading a lot of stories on here. One thing I notice is when the poster mentions unplanned pregnancy lots of people say " haven't you ever heard of contraception?" of course there are plenty of people who just dont bother using it thinking it will never happen to them. But then there are people like myself, who were on the pill and never missed one or was sick, and it just happened. I was in a relationship with the dad
for 16 years and also she is my 3rd child so it was cool, but why does everyone assume the person didn't bother using anything?

    Way street!! Both are responsible for making a baby, not just the woman...

    How is a pregnancy "unplanned" if you neglect to use contraception (except in the case of rape)?

    It bothers me when women who are on the pill, and they don't take it consistently every day at the same time of day, then they don't use condoms to make up for it, and then they act surprised when they get pregnant. They are either really stupid or they secretly wanted to get pregnant.

    The world is overpopulated already, yet people keep popping out litters of children without a care in the world.

    Because people assume. They lack information, so they can only come up with a guess, which they tend to take as fact or truth.

    Don't let the accusations get you too much. Just remember to not judge others and create assumptions like those people did to you.

    Well no because it is stupid ... If your married and stuff that's fine but I hate seeing teenage pregnancies because you can't afford it your selfish and your not ready no teenage is ready for a baby Idc what anyone says no teenage has enough money and is mature enough for a baby

    i get annoyed because my husband and i tried for a baby for 2 years then when we finally got pregnant, we miscarried and now things are too complicated to try again. so it annoys me that there are so many people out there who dont want children or are too young or whatever to have kids but are too damn irresponsible to use the proper protection and get pregnant and end up having an abortion or adopt it out or keep it and screw up the kids life.

    Yeah it's annoying that it's always on the woman, too, like men aren't responsible for splooging all up in a lady's uterus.

    My current pregnancy was unplanned. I'm married and people still judge me. Oh and birth control CAN FAIL trust me. I was on the Pill and when I had to take Antibiotics and well lets just say if your on the pill and have to take Antibiotics and don't want a baby use a condom. Because I didn't know Antibiotics block the birth control hormones...

    Plan B does not work if you are already pregnant!! It clearly states that on the commercial and in the pamphlet! and abortion is cruel!! I believe abortion should only be used under certain circumstances and that is if it is threatening the life of the mother or if the woman was raped.

    My pregnancy was unplanned, I'm not married and wasn't financially stable. One year on I have a very happy and healthy 1 year old. Aussie wolf just because someone isn't ready for a baby it doesnt mean they won't be loved and provided for.

      I agree with you. Married or not married just because the baby is unplanned DOES NOT MEAN THEY WILL NOT BE LOVED OR CARED FOR. I am happy for you Mew. Just keep on hanging in there and you do what you feel is best for you and the baby ^_^

      Aussiewolf- I understand what your saying, But not all people are the same. Abortion is a horrible thing, and adoption isn't always the best answer either. Me and my husband are having our baby in 8 weeks, then I'm getting my tubes tied and we have decided that two or three years form now we are going to adopt another child. There are so many children that need a good home and parents so we decided to adopt our second child ^_^

    I agree with moomus, It's not just the girl's fault, it takes two to tango. Men are just a part of the whole baby making deal. so men why not try a condom and stop blaming the girls. Birth control pills and shots can fail.

      It happens? Babies just come out of nowhere? Sorry sweety. If you can't curb your sexual appetite, then be prepared to pay the price. People just make excuses for their poor choices. Suck it up.

        The only kind of people who say "curb your sexual appetite" are the kind of people who haven't had good sex, first of all. Don't be a bitch.

        Second of all, believe it or not, but birth control DOES fail. I was on Nuvaring, followed all the directions to a tee, and still got pregnant.

        And anyone who judges someone for an unplanned pregnancy should fuck off. At least they're taking responsibility for their mistake as opposed to aborting it, which is a lot more than approximately one in three women can say.

    Even if you're taking a pill and using other methods of protection, there's still that chance of becoming pregnant. Staying pure and vowing that love is more important than sex is way more mature and less risky when it comes to unwanted pregnancies.

    Just FYI: I don't think you're completely stupid, but come on. Grow up.

    I've been engaged for 8 months and we used protection everytime and I'm pregnant. We didn't plan for this it just happened. Nothing is wrong with it. Its natures choice to make you prego or not.

    I think that shit happends and not everone is perpared for what might happen, also somepeople do use protection and id doesnt always work!!! Condoms and the pill are only 90% afective. Also some people are just assholes so they judge people without getting all of the info. That really ticks me off!!!!!!!

    None of my pregnancies were planned, and I don't use contraception. But I am a baby addict, so I don't mind :) I also come from a large family, so I have the support to have lots of them!!
