Is it normal to get irritated when the opening credits go on & on?

Am I the only person who gets pissed off when an american tv show keeps rolling out the opening credits for what seems the whole first half of the programme? It`s so pointless, I mean no-one`s really interested in who made the tea, or who ceans the sets, & nobody pays them any attention anyway because they just want to watch the programme. It`s mainly american tv that does this, & I`m wondering what makes the people who produce these shows think that people watching these shows really care about the opening credits. If theyr`e thaat important, why don`t they show them at the end?

How about movies that have to let you know that 6 different production companies (each with some goofy-ass "we're creative" logo) made the fucking movie. Just put the fucking movie on already.

Like I'm gonna be halfway through the movie, think it sucks, and then remember "oh, wait. This is an orion production. It must be good"

At least I know where to send the hate mail.
