Is it normal to get high off cough drops?

I had a really sore throat and ate a whole bag of really mentholated numbing coughdrops in about 3 hours. I started getting dizzy and soon I couldn't think straight, was saying random things, and according to my friends was walking lopsided. I've been high before and that's how I felt, though a little less extreme. Is it possible to get high from eating too many cough drops?

    Do NOT use cough mediacations or anything else from a drug store to get high.
    Their products are dangerous and guaranteed to ruin your health.
    Stick to quality weed to be mellow
    LSD to learn everything about the universe
    Mescaline, mushrooms for great colors.
    and peyote for the soul.
    Never drink alcohol, smoke tobacco or do cocaine.
    And only dumb assholes get themselves hooked on heroin

    If you read the drug information on the back it clearly says that you should only take 1 every 2 hours or so...

    Were you running a fever? If so, that's probably what caused the hallucinations and sleep-talking. Every time I'm sick I have really intense dreams.

    u cant get high from cough drops, you can off of robitussin cough syrup, it has to have dextromethorphan in it. and check the ingredients to make sure theres no acetominophen in it or ull die

    Yeah... cough syrup can cause you to hallucinate. I wouldn't suggest getting into though, it destroys the liver >.>

    yes. my mom accidentally tripped out on buckleys. im very afraid of medication. Lol. from now on i only buy the guinafesen or whatever its called instead of the DM cough syrup.

    Yes, u can from certain cough syrup and I assume u can for drops as well. A friend of mine used to do it a lot

    i doubt it.

    maybe you had fluid in your ears along with that sore throat, which would affect your gate, or make you feel a little dizzy.
