Is it normal to get heartburn after having a few puffs of smoke?

The other night I was out with a few friends and I got a little drunk and I said to a friend that I would like to try smoking and I did it a few times but I didn't do it right so later on when I sobered up my friend showed me how to do it properly and I started coughing like you would and now it's the next day and my heart and throat is burning and I'm worried that it might be something serious.

Pain is the body's way of telling the brain that damage is being done to the body. In this case, that you were damaging your own body.
